The Desk Drawer Fund (DDF) was established in 2019 to further MSU Federal Credit Union's commitment to serving the Credit Union's core value of Giving Back to the Community. Since its inception, the Foundation has granted over $2 million to organizations in the regions where our members live and work. 

 

  Thanks to the support of the Desk Drawer Fund, grants have: 

  

  • Supported safe learning environments, addressed STEM education barriers, and provided reliable transportation to essential healthcare appointments for youth in our communities.  

 

  • Funded grants for exhibitions that fostered cultural enrichment and community engagement to encourage the exploration of diverse perspectives, promoting unity and understanding. Provided reduced-priced tickets to live performances ensuring access to the arts for all, regardless of financial barriers.  

 

  • Provided micro-loans to entrepreneurs and financial literacy education to promote business growth. 

 

  • Helped to break cycles of housing instability through home rehabilitation, homeownership, and financial education in our communities.   

 

  • Empowered middle and high school students to save for their future college or career training expenses and aided in financial education to help them achieve their goals and dreams.
