  • Who can purchase a raffle ticket?
    The purchaser must be an individual member with a personal account at MSUFCU that is in good standing, a legal United States resident, State of Michigan resident, eighteen years of age or older as of the date of purchase, and abide by the Raffle Rules.
  • Can joint members on the account purchase a raffle ticket?
    Yes, joint members on the account can purchase raffle tickets.
  • Are pooled entries and business accounts allowed to buy a ticket?
    An individual may only purchase a raffle ticket. Joint purchases and purchases on behalf of an entity or another person are not permitted.
  • How will the winner be notified?
    The winner will be notified by email and phone.Any prize not claimed within 60 days from the drawing date must be awarded using another drawing of the original ticket stubs or donated to another non-profit with permission from the Charitable Gaming Division. Prizes cannot be reverted to the licensed organization.
  • How will the winner receive the prize?
    The winnings will be deposited into the member's account.
  • Can I purchase more than one ticket?
    Yes, you can purchase more than one ticket.
  • How many raffle tickets will be sold?
    There will only be 3,000 raffle tickets sold.

Desk Drawer Foundation Raffle

Tickets for the Desk Drawer Foundation (“DDF”) Raffle may be purchased for $20 beginning at 9 AM EST on first date of sale for each quarter Raffle. The Raffle is scheduled to conclude at the close of business on the last date of sale for each quarter Raffle as stated on the DDF website:, or 30 minutes after the conclusion of any Credit Union or DDF special event on that date. By purchasing a Raffle ticket, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by the rules, terms, and conditions below (the “Raffle Rules”), and the decisions of DDF and Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (“Credit Union”), which will be binding in all respects.



The Raffle is only open to account owners of Credit Union who maintain a personal account with Credit Union (as opposed to a business account), who are in good standing, legal United States residents, State of Michigan residents, eighteen years of age or older as of the date that the Raffle ticket is purchased, and who abide by the Raffle Rules. Purchase of a Raffle ticket by more than one individual, purchase on behalf of an entity, and purchase on behalf of another person(s) are not permitted. Credit Union employees, Board members, Supervisory Committee members, and DDF Board members are not eligible.



DDF will sell up to 3,000 Raffle tickets for the Raffle. If DDF sells all 3,000 Raffle tickets, then the winner of the Raffle will receive $20,000 cash (less any applicable tax withholding obligations) deposited into the winning member’s Credit Union account. If DDF does not sell all 3,000 Raffle tickets, then the winner of the Raffle will receive the greater of $5,000 or 50% of the amount paid for all Raffle tickets purchased during the Raffle period up to a maximum of $20,000 (less any applicable tax withholding obligations), in cash deposited into the winning member’s account. Neither DDF nor Credit Union is otherwise responsible for the winner’s receipt of the prize.


Neither DDF nor Credit Union is responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the winner’s use of the prize money. The winner may not elect to assign the prize money or request that the prize money be substituted except at the discretion of DDF and Credit Union. Liability for any applicable federal, state, or other taxes, or any other costs, will be the sole responsibility of the winner and no prize will be awarded without receipt of the proper legal paperwork as determined by DDF and Credit Union.



The winning Raffle ticket will be randomly selected at Credit Union Headquarters. Chances of winning are based on the number of Raffle tickets purchased. For example, if 3,000 Raffle tickets are purchased, then chance of one ticket winning is 1 in 3,000.


The winner will be notified by email and phone. DDF and/or Credit Union may publicly announce the winner through social media channels, including, but not limited to, Credit Union’s/Oakland University Credit Union’s and/or DDF’s  Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn pages and/or on the Desk Drawer Fund’s Raffle page ( Winner may receive notification by email and phone, prior to, concurrent with, or subsequent to, any such social media announcement. Any prize not claimed within 60 days from the drawing date must be awarded using another drawing of the original ticket stubs or donated to another non-profit with permission from the Charitable Gaming Division. Prizes cannot be reverted to the licensed organization.


The winner must sign a release and consent form prepared by DDF. If DDF and Credit Union do not receive the completed release and consent form within 10 calendar days of the date the winner was first called or emailed about their prize, a new winner may be selected.



Raffle tickets may only be purchased in-person at a Credit Union or Oakland University Credit Union branch.

Raffle tickets are nonrefundable. Neither DDF nor Credit Union is not responsible for:

  • Lost Raffle tickets;

  • Attempts to purchase a Raffle ticket outside of the Raffle period;

  • Mistaken, incorrect, or illegible contact information provided to DDF or Credit Union, resulting in DDF’s or Credit Union’s inability to contact the owner of a winning Raffle ticket;

  • Technical hardware or software used or necessary to purchase a Raffle ticket electronically;

  • Lost or unavailable network or telephone connections; or

  • Failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions or phone service that may limit a user's ability to purchase a Raffle ticket.


DDF and Credit Union reserve the right to modify, suspend, and/or terminate this contest for any reason in its discretion, including if DDF or Credit Union determines in its sole discretion that a virus, bug, nonauthorized human intervention, or other cause corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness, or resolution of the Raffle. In case of suspension or termination, a notice will be posted, and, at DDF’s discretion, Raffle tickets may be refunded or a winner may be selected from all non-suspect Raffle tickets purchased. Inclusion in such alternate Raffle drawing is not guaranteed, but if it occurs will constitute an included entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy under such circumstances. Credit Union and/or DDF reserve the right to disqualify any entrant if his or her fraud or misconduct affects the integrity of the Raffle or the entrant fails to remain in good standing with Credit Union.


DDF retains the right to change or modify these rules at any time without notice. Neither DDF nor Credit Union is responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of Raffle materials, administration of the Raffle, or in the announcement of the prize. By participating, entrants agree to these Raffle Rules and to the determination of the Raffle winner, which will be final and binding in all respects.


Any legal challenge related to the Raffle must be filed within 6 months of the determination of the Raffle winner. Such legal challenge will be waived if not filed within such period. Participation in the promotion constitutes a participant’s agreement to this 6 month limitation period.


The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Raffle Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Raffle Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. The Raffle and all issues relating to it and these Raffle Rules will be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the state of Michigan without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other state’s laws.

Any legally required winner list may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Desk Drawer Fund at P.O. Box 4638, East Lansing, MI 48826. All such requests must be received within six weeks after the end of the Raffle period.
